Category 1: Open Costume Contest (outsiders & other departments can join with creative costumes)

Theme of the Cosplay: Psychologists, Thinkers & Psychological Disorder.

Venue: Auditorium (Indoor Events)

Management:

10 activities coordinated by Psychology students (2 students per activity).
3 faculty members will oversee and manage.

 

 

 

Day 2: Friday, 10th October 2025

Theme: Awareness & Academic Engagement

 

Schedule of Events

  • 6:30 AM – Marathon (open to college and invited participants)
  • 10:00 AM – Exhibition Opens (Venue: Canteen)

Psychology students of Mount Mary College

Invited students from other colleges (art & project displays)

  • 10:30 AM – Quiz Competition (Venue: AV room, Psychology-based)
  • 12:00 Noon – Extempore Speech Competition

(Venue: Auditorium, on psychology/mental health themes)

  • 1:00 PM – Mindfulness / Yoga Session 2:00 PM – Panel Discussion on

“Social Stigma on Mental Health and Building a Supportive Society”

 

 

  • 4:00 PM – Closing Ceremony

 

 

Entry Rules:

Mount Mary College students (with ID): Free entry, ₹20 per activity (₹30 without ID).

Guests invited by MMC students: ₹50 entry + ₹20 per activity.

Invited colleges: Special package of ₹1500 for 5 students (includes 3 free activities + light refreshment on Day 2). Extra activities: ₹20 each.

Stall Fee: ₹300 per day / ₹600 for 2 days.

Rules for the Contest

1. Dance Battle Competition

  • Open to solo performers only.
  • Any dance style is welcome (hip-hop, freestyle, classical, contemporary, fusion, etc.).
  • Time limit: 3–5 minutes (including entry and exit).
  • Music tracks must be submitted in advance in MP3 format.
  • Props are allowed but must be arranged and managed by the participant.
  • Vulgar or offensive lyrics, moves, or gestures are strictly prohibited.
  • Judging criteria: Creativity, Stage Presence, Energy, Expression, and Overall Impact.
  1. Cosplay (Costume Contest)
  • Open for individual or pair participation.
  • Participants must dress as characters from anime, movies, comics, or games.
  • Each participant/pair must also submit a short-written description (2–3 lines) about their chosen character.
  • On stage/platform, participants will have 1–2 minutes to showcase their costume by walking, posing, or performing a short act.
  • Costumes should be decent, safe, and respectful.
  • Dangerous props (weapons, fire, sharp objects) are strictly prohibited.
  • Judging criteria: Creativity, Costume Quality, Resemblance to Character, Stage Presence, and Originality.

 

  1. Extempore Speech (Psychology Theme)
  • Participants will draw a topic related to psychology by lottery.
  • 1 minute will be given for preparation.
  • Speech duration: 3–5 minutes
  • Use of offensive or sensitive remarks is strictly prohibited.
  • Clear articulation, relevance to theme, and confidence will be emphasized.
  • Judging criteria: Content, Clarity, Delivery, and Relevance to Psychology.
  1. Psychology Quiz
  • Each team must have 3 members.
  • The quiz will include two rounds:
    1. Written Preliminary Round (short-answer / MCQs).
    2. Final Round (oral + buzzer round).
  • Themes: General Psychology, Famous Psychologists, Mental Health Awareness, Applied Psychology.
  • Each team will get a fixed time (30–60 seconds) to respond.
  • In case of a tie, a sudden-death round will decide the winner.
  • Quizmaster’s decision will be final.
  1. Photography Contest
  • Each participant can submit only 1 entry.
  • Theme: “Exploring Minds, Inspiring Waves” (psychology-inspired perspectives).
  • Only original photographs are accepted (no plagiarism).
  • Basic editing (brightness, cropping, filters) is allowed; heavy digital manipulation is not.
  • Each entry must include:
    • Participant’s Name, Class, Department
    • A short description of the photo (2–3 lines)
  • Photos must be printed (8×12 inches) and submitted on the day of the competition.
  • Judging criteria: Creativity, Originality, Relevance to Theme, and Technical Quality.

General Rules & Regulations for Psychology Fest

  1. Attendance & Identification
  • All students must attend the Fest in proper college uniform.
  • Wearing the college ID card at all times during the event is mandatory.
  1. Discipline & Conduct
  • Students are expected to maintain decorum, discipline, and respect throughout the Fest.
  • Tobacco, alcohol, and any intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited within the campus.
  • Any form of misbehavior, offensive language, or disrespect towards organizers, guests, or fellow students will not be tolerated.
  1. Participation & Punctuality
  • Participants must report on time for their respective events/competitions. Late entries may not be entertained.
  • All students are encouraged to actively support and cheer for participants in a positive and encouraging manner.
  1. Property & Cleanliness
  • Students must take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the venue.
  • Any damage to college property will be dealt with strictly and may lead to disciplinary action.
  1. Use of Mobile Phones & Gadgets
  • Mobile phones should be kept on silent mode during programs, especially during formal sessions.
  1. Safety & Security
  • Students should follow the instructions of volunteers and coordinators for smooth conduct of events.
  1. Celebration & Spirit
  • The Fest is a platform for learning, creativity, and fun students are encouraged to participate wholeheartedly.

Respect the time and space of performers and speakers while enjoying the programs.
